ZyVet generic marbofloxacin tablets are indicated for the treatment of infections in dogs and cats associated with bacteria susceptible to marbofloxacin, including bacterial skin and soft tissue infections in dogs and cats and urinary tract infections (cystitis) in dogs.
- Once daily dosing
- For skin/soft tissue infection in dogs and cats
- For urinary tract infections in dogs
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Marbofloxacin is an antibiotic used in dogs and cats to treat bacterial infections but should not be given to young, growing animals or those with known hypersensitivity to quinolones. It should be handled with care, as it may cause irritation if it comes into contact with human skin or eyes. Caution is advised when using it in pets with seizure disorders, and its safety in pregnant or nursing animals has not been established. Possible side effects include vomiting, diarrhea, and decreased appetite. It should not be administered alongside supplements containing iron, calcium, or magnesium, as these can interfere with absorption. The medication is given once daily as directed by a veterinarian, and consultation with a vet is essential before use.
